Let's talk values.
Whenever I work with a coaching client or recruiting partners, I help them identify their innate values.
Values are especially critical on the recruiting side to ensure a sustained match between candidate and employer.
Here are some helpful questions for a firm to identify values:
1. What's your law firm's "why"? What purpose is your firm serving?
2. What does your law firm do differently than any other law firm?
3. What does success look like at your firm? (ex. is it meeting a billable hour, happy clients, or internal collaboration for the "right" result?)
4. What types of personalities and attitudes thrive at your firm?
5. When considering your firm's reputation, what aspects makes you the most proud?
Once you identify your law firm's core values, you will have better success finding candidates with shared values that are a good long term fit.
